WELCOME PLEASE STAY A WHILE & BROWSE, ENJOY MY PLACE. I HOPE IT'S OF HELP TO YOU. PLEASE BE KIND TO YOURSELF AND BEWARE AS SOME INFORMATION MAY CAUSE TRIGGERS. THIS IS ONLY INTENDED FOR PEOPLE TO USE TO FIND SOMEWHERE TO REACH IN TIMES OF CRISIS, OR JUST TO STOP OFF AND SAY HELLO.
Before you go any further I do acknowledge that both men & women are capable of abusing. By no means have I ever said that women don't do it, as they do.... please keep an open mind as there are male survivors too.

Yet another child failed by the system, designed to protect vulnerable children.
Why are mistakes still being made?
This book not only uncovers a horrific life story it goes beyond that, this is a life journey of knock after knock. Continuing into adulthood.
To the outside world, Lizzie McGlynn’s father was a model citizen. To little Lizzie he was a violent and depraved monster.
For years, Lizzie was raped and beaten by her father, whilst her alcoholic mother stood by, helpless. She eventually found the courage to report him and her father was imprisoned - but 12 weeks later he was allowed to return to the family home and continue his reign of terror. He seemed to be above the law.
Battered and violated, Lizzie knew she had to stay alive to protect her two little brothers. She went on to escape her father’s evil clutches, but the physical and mental scars continued to haunt her.
Then, as her father lay dying, she summoned the strength and courage to forgive the man who had caused her so much pain.
A little girl failed by the system.
Still struggling for justice, to finally get closure.
Everyone needs closure to be able to move on in life....
Since the book was published, I have been divorced & reverted back to my maiden name of Hislop.

Just a little personal note of how i feel as a survivor...
Please be united, we are survivors and we are not alone... There are many of us. We are starting to find our voices. Yes, we do punish ourselves over and over again. We are conditioned to feel unworthy by our abusers, but you have to take control of your life, and realise you are worthy! No one on this earth has any right to judge you, or any other fellow human being. We are all unique, every person matters. So please turn the tables stand up speak out, be united with other survivors, and be strong. If you endured any dreadful ordeal in your childhood, and you survived you are made of tough stuff, so keep up the fight you are worth it please be kind to yourself, we're in this together. Love to all of you. Liz x
