From broken to discovering a safe haven
When I was at my worst, during the begining of my healing journey. I went to see an advocate. The advocate sent me to see this foundation. It was a fair jaunt from Paisley to Airdrie when in such a dreadful emotional place. I found it hard enough getting out of bed every day, but I decided I had to do something to help me. I arrived there broken. The counsellor I spoke to was fantastic, she was a shinning light in my dark place. I then met a Dr there who specialises in tap technique & taught me self hypnosis. I was shown warmth, respect & above all compassion at all times. Nothing was ever too much. They never tired of my wailing at how hopeless my life was. One day i looked around me & realised I had landed in recovery zone. Thank you all for all you did for me I shall carry you in my heart forever. If anyone in Scotland is looking for somewhere to turn when being a victim becomes overwhelming, or you just want help & a bit of guidance. This is the place to go. I love them all dearly.
This is a place to go for any person thats been abused.
Th place to go, when you need your faith in human copassion restored. I felt a blanket of warmth & love.
